Love Yourself More

It’s week 7 for #LivingLovingWriting, and it’s also Valentine’s Weekend! Woo Hoo! I’ve thought a lot about what to post this week, but I kept going back to these words that I posted a year ago. Maybe you read them, maybe you didn’t, either way I think it’s a good reminder that no matter what, it doesn’t hurt to love ourselves more…

It’s February, and y’all know what that means… it’s the month of love. If you’re like me, then you, too, have a bleeding heart for all things romance, love, and happily ever after. But sometimes in our quest to find it in others, whether it be partners, books, or movies, we forget to look for it in ourselves. I think we’re all guilty of this, I know I am. The truth is though, the greatest thing about loving yourself more, is that once you do, you’re better equipped and it’s easier to receive. Who doesn’t want that? I know I do.

QOTD: So what if we simply make 2020, the year we love ourselves more, and what if we take the time and just work on these five things?

1. Get to know yourself more
2. Take time for yourself
3. Forgive yourself
4.Speak kindly about yourself and to yourself
5.Treat yourself

With love there’s strength, and I know all of you have this. After all, we’re romance readers. We allow authors to rip out hearts out and then put us back together, no other genre does this. This takes strength of character, and we’ve got this. Don’t forget to give yourself a hug, and Happy Valentine’s Day, my friends…
