My 2020 Bucket List

Happy Week 3 of #LivingLovingWriting, Everyone! This week I’m super excited to share with ya’ll what I decided on for my 2020 Bucket List. Have I done an annual bucket list in the past, no, but I have crossed things off of my life list such as: run a marathon, go to Paris, and write a book.

Now, I know the whole idea of a bucket list, things you want to do before you “kick the bucket,” really is kind of morbid, but I love the image it represents of collecting wonderful ideas and putting them into a place to be pulled out one at a time. Whether it’s a mental list, or an actual list, it doesn’t matter, but what does, is what you put on the list.

The list. At some point in time, all of us have come across something that looked or sounded interesting and we’ve said to ourselves, “Wow, I’d really like to do that.” But then life gets in the way, that idea gets forgotten, and I don’t want that to happen. I don’t want things to pass me by. So in the spirit of living my best life, of embracing and doing, I’ve spent the last couple of months jotting down ideas. Some are things I’ve already done, but want to do again, and the rest are brand new. All things I want to do this year, in 2020!

I’m so excited! And I’ve already crossed off one item!

Last year, my oldest son wanted to go to goat yoga for his birthday. On a Sunday, we piled in the car, him, his brother, and a few friends, and we had the best time. Immediately, while loving on baby goats, I said to myself, “I’d like to do this with friends.” On Monday, I told two of my coworkers, and we made plans for January 12th. Word spread, and before we knew it there were eight of us. I’ve included a few photos below, and I’ve crossed it off my list. I’m not sure what I’ll do next, but I do know something will happen soon…

We always make time for the things that are important to us, so my QOTD for all of you is: What five things would you like to do this year?

“Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much can be done if we are always doing.” Thomas Jefferson
